Our twice-monthly luncheon meeting is held the second and fourth Monday of each month from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at The O’Donnell House in Downtown Sumter. We also have monthly evening socials.
At meetings, members catch up with friends, hear what’s happening in our communities, and share plans and exchange ideas for creating lasting change. We always have a planned program, usually a speaker who shares insights into current events or social issues.
Recent speakers include the South Carolina Governor, the South Carolina Lt. Governor, the leaders of U.S. Army Central and the 9th Air Force at Shaw Air Force Base, The Adjutant General of the SC National Guard, our U.S. Representatives, our State Representatives, the President of The Citadel, the President of Clemson University, the president of the Governor’s School for Science and Math, the USC basketball coach, the Clemson baseball coach, the news and sports anchors for WIS-TV, the general manager of Continental Tire, the Senior VP of Santee Cooper, and other regional and national leaders.
At our luncheons we meet interesting people from our community and around the world. And we tackle local and international issues that are important to the community and to our fellow club members.
